Return to the Restoration? Or Taste the Rainbow?

Whenever a message has been given from the mouth of God to men on Earth Satan , our enemy, has been right there to accuse, distract, and dissuade the sons and daughters of Adam  and Eve from the true message of the Gospel.

“And Adam and Eve blessed the name of God, and they made all things known unto their sons and their daughters.  And Satan came among them, saying: I am also a son of God; and he commanded them, saying: Believe it not; and they believed it not, and they loved Satan more than God. And men began from that time forth to be carnal, sensual, and devilish.” (Moses 5:12-13)

Twisting the Image of God

Because of religious traditions, priestcrafts, and the abuses of many men and women there are many who think of God as a tyranical, capricious, and dictatorial “Man in the Sky”.   There are many who see through this veil that hides the true masculine and feminine nature of God and reject this image of an Intergalactic Hitler.  Our adversary, however, has been doing his job for quite a long time and he is not so easily defeated.  While men and women reject this false idea of God the adversary is right there with another lie to lead you away from the worship of the True God.  It is the LIE of Heavenly Mother or Goddess Worship!

Instead of coming to a knowledge of the true and eternal covenant nature of God, the adversary introduces the concept of the "goddess," a female entity who was "nurturing, mysterious, and loving like the earth- like a mother."  Compared to the Hitler God portrayed by many hierarchical and authoritarian religious organizations, the goddess experience leads to an artificial salvation of love and comfort based emotion and neediness.  In other words, if mean Daddy doesn’t give me what I want then I am going to make an end run to loving, caring, and nurturing Mommy who will!

One Venue of an Ancient War!

The enthroning of the “goddess” and the feminine without a true understanding of God’s law and covenant relationship have created a deceptive feminine spirituality movement.     This creation of the “goddess” is a movement that seeks to overthrow the worship of the True God and replace it with a new system of worship that ultimately allows the adversary to play the role of a puppet master.  This is a tactic of war that involves the changing of the foundation of Man’s understanding of God. People must now learn to see God as a goddess-Heavenly Mother or the Queen of Heaven.

An Ancient Religion Made New

Goddess worship, the sacred feminine, and the feminine divine all refer to an entity or person most often identified as "Mother Goddess" , “Heavenly Mother”, or “The Queen of Heaven”.  Other names used include Ishtar, Ashtarte, Gaia, Sophia, Artemis, Diana, Isis, and Venus.

Even Ancient Israel was not free from its’ influence:

               

“We will not listen to your messages from the LORD! We will do whatever we want. We will burn incense and pour out liquid offerings to the Queen of Heaven just as much as we like—just as we, and our ancestors, and our kings and officials have always done in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For in those days we had plenty to eat, and we were well off and had no troubles!

But ever since we quit burning incense to the Queen of Heaven and stopped worshiping her with liquid offerings, we have been in great trouble and have been dying from war and famine.”

 “Besides,” the women added, “do you suppose that we were burning incense and pouring out liquid offerings to the Queen of Heaven, and making cakes marked with her image, without our husbands knowing it and helping us?  Of course not!”

Then Jeremiah said to all of them, men and women alike, who had given him that answer,  “Do you think the LORD did not know that you and your ancestors, your kings and officials, and all the people were burning incense to idols in the towns of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

It was because the LORD could no longer bear all the disgusting things you were doing that he made your land an object of cursing—a desolate ruin without inhabitants—as it is today.

All these terrible things happened to you because you have burned incense to idols and sinned against the LORD. You have refused to obey him and have not followed his instructions, his decrees, and his laws.” (Jeremiah 44:16-23)

Returning to the Restoration

When I first heard the message of “Return to the Restoration” I heard a message founded in the word of God as contained in the scriptures.  The message affirms the reality that God created man in his own image- male and female. While acknowledging the male and female aspects of the Eloheim and their oneness, there was no message or new revelation to establish goddess worship, praying to a mother in heaven, or enthronement of what is modernly called “the divine feminine”. 

God forbids goddess worship, both in the Old and New Testaments, along with the accompanying practice of spiritualism, witchcraft, sorcery, and divination. He clearly addressed this issue with the first of the Ten Commandments: "“I am the LORD your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery. You must not have any other god but me." (Deuteronomy 5:6-7).

If God did not tolerate the idolatry of goddess worship in the Land of Israel and as a result their land was laid to waste, what do you think he is going to do to this land as a result of those who choose to mingle the worship of the True God of Israel with the idolatry of goddess worship now?

For those engaging in such idolatry, I would invite you to return to the Doctrine of Christ and the God of Israel and stop making offerings to the idol you have created called, “Heavenly Mother”.  When the disciples asked the Christ to teach them how to pray he DID NOT SAY “OUR MOTHER WHICH ART IN HEAVEN HALLOWED BE THY NAME!”

The message of the restoration affirms that God is the same yesterday, today, and for ever.  His course is one eternal round like the sun following in its path from day to day. In HIM there is no variance which is why we are not consumed.  Will we embrace the covenant keeping God of Israel with his laws, statutes, and decrees or we will heed the other message of pleasing things and treat the gospel like a box of skittles--PICKING OUR FAVORITE FLAVORS AND CONVENIENTLY LEAVING OUT THE ONES WE DON'T LIKE!.  shalom.
